Description:
A cardboard chess and checkers set given by the Checker Cab company. A brown paper gift envelope contains a red and yellow folding game board with pull out cards perforated to provide circular game pieces printed on one side with checkers colors and on the reverse with chess piece drawings. The back of the game board has a drawing of a cab and a bus and reads, in part, "Only The New Checker Offers All These Great Features: " with a list of modern car features and the address "The Checker Taxi Corporation/ 315 West 68th Street/ New York City 23". Includes a booklet giving playing instructions for chess.
