Description: 
Hand painted creamer in Gaudy Welsh style, decorated with blue underglaze and red-brown, copper luster, and purple luster overglaze; pattern composed of abstract fruits, leaves, and geometric shapes; body is molded, and has two beaded bands in relief and a reeded band around the base.

According to accession records, this object is from the family of the late John William Bradley, B.A., London, author of the "Dictionary of Miniaturists of Sheffield, Stafford, and London." An infant or invalid feeder was often found in homes during the late nineteenth into the twentieth century. A liquid or semi-soft food was placed in the feeder and the spout was then placed in the person's mouth.

This object was once part of the folk art collection of Elie Nadelman (1882-1946), the avant-garde sculptor.
