Description: 
Wrought (possibly spun) creamer; circular wide-bellied form with a narrow applied neck and narrow base; flat bottomed; cast c-scrolls, s-scrolls, and fleur-de-lis applied to the shoulder and pouring lip rims; four applied feet cast as trefoils with cast c-scrolls forming the rest of the rim around the base; high, narrow, extended pouring rim; hollow, cast silver c-scroll handle partly covered by acanthus leaves; chased, repousséd and engraved decoration covers the body and lid with floral garlands beneath waved and scrolled swags; initials, "T M & M S B" engraved in the front reserve in script; maker's mark on the base.

Gallery Label: 
The "Palm" pattern was designed by Edward C. Moore and patented on July 4, 1871. The design was active until at least 1913, and was definitely inactive by 1934. It is considered an adaption of the popular French "fiddle" pattern and "fiddle thread and shell" pattern.
