Description:
Immature male. Audubon commemorated William Roscoe, a native of Liverpool who assisted him in acquiring subscriptions, by naming what he thought was a new species of warbler after him, Roscoe's Yellowthroat. Audubon later realized this bird was an immature of the Common Yellowthroat species.
