Description:
A light brown booklet covered with a rough grained textured paper, debossed on the front with a gold frame around a floral pattern surrounding the word "Photographs" in elaborately stylized typeface. Inside the front cover in an oval frame are the words "Samuel Bowles & Company/ Springfield, Mass./ Manufacture/ 50 Different Styles of Albums,/ Ranging in price from/ 25 Cents to $10.00 and Upwards.", and on the inside rear cover "Samuel Bowles & Company/ Sole Manufacturer/ Springfield, Mass./ Patented March 16, 1869./ Directions for Inserting the Cards..." with directions for placing photos into the approximately 10 paper sleeves with oval openings for displaying the image.

Description:
A yellow cardboard box that opens on a hinge and contains seven small wood pots filled with different color pigment cakes. The top reads in black "Price, Twenty-Five Cents./ Revoli's Magic Photo-Tints./ Transparent colors for tinting Celebrity and other Photos, Magazine Pictures, Steel Engravings, Pen Drawings, School Maps, Lantern Slides.../ Edward B. Fox/ 174 Fifth Ave., New York/ Between 22nd and 23rd Streets." Inside are directions for color combining, harmony charts and room for eight pots of pigment, with only seven remaining.
