A rectangular metal tip or ash tray with a scalloped edge printed with a geometric border in red and blue around a central image of a red and blue buck board wagon. It reads in black "The Bettendorf/ Steel Gear Wagon/ Manufactured By Bettendorf Axle". Bettendorf Axle Co. was listed in Davenport, Iowa in a 1905 directory.

Description:
This aluminum metal paperweight or medallion is still in its original white and dark yellow presentation box with a built in black plastic display pedestal. The box is marked "1897/1947" and the medallion has a deeply raised relief of a hand holding a leaf on one side and the words "Fifty Years Of Creative Development/ 1897-1947". On the reverse is a cosmic swirl with a ringed planet circled by four smaller bodies and the word "Dow" for the Dow Chemical Company.
