This tin can has a paper label printed with a bird feeding its young in a nest and reads in black "Nestle's Food/ A Perfect Nutriment For Infants, Children and Invalids/ The Basis Of Which Is The Best Cow's Milk/ Henri Nestle/ Inventor and Manufacturer/ Vevey (Switzerland)/ Prepared at Fulton, N.Y.". On the reverse are medals of award, ingredients, and preparation formulas, and the lid is embossed with a cross and "Nestle's Food".

The packet is shaped and printed to resemble a canister with a red seal on the top and in red on the front a drawing of a smiling chef in a circle labeled "It's Dutch". The front reads "Sample of/ Bensdorp/ Royal Dutch/ Cocoa./ Amsterdam Holland/ Try This Cocoa For Cooking/ In Place Of Cake Chocolate". The reverse has directions for use.
