Description:
This heart-shaped woman's hand fan is made of paper and has a wood handle. One side has a border of red, white and blue stars and stripes around the portraits of Washington, Lincoln and Woodrow Wilson. It reads "For The Cause Of Liberty". The reverse reads "Let Us All as American Citizens, Enjoying the Freedom and Priviledges of the Most Wonderful Country in the World, Co-operate With the Government in Giving Freely to Every Demand Made Upon Us Regardless of Creed or Color/ Compliments of Dudley Shoe Co./ A.G. On the reverse is the Borden eagle with a banner in is beak that reads "Gail Borden/ Eagle Brand" and the words "Condensed Milk", with a description of the product and suggestions for use. "N. Y. This woman's hand fan is made of paper and has a wood handle. Both sides of this bright yellow fan are covered with various advertisments. One side is titled "Foresters Of America" and includes the program for a musical performance, ads for "Perlhefter Wines and Liquors", "The Rowland Cylce Co.", Cigars, stoves , and "H.A. Tiemann Apothecary". The reverse has the second part of the musical program, and ads for "Dr. M.T. Zoole, Physician", "Kirby's Cigars", and the "Twenty-third Ward Bank". This sides reads "At Brommer's Union Park Annex, Friday Eve'g, August 14th, 1896".
