This paperweight has a rim of silver metal with an insert with a drawing in red, black and gold of a shield on a blue field. Around the shield different types of insurance are listed in gold and black and around the edge the words "Maryland Casualty Company/ Incorporated 1898". The reverse is the same as the front.

This card has printed on one side a colored drawing of a jester or acrobat in costume with red hair and a hoop and stick toy in his hands surrounded by floral designs and a cricket above the words "Superior Manufacture". On the other side is mounted a diamond-shaped black pad of cloth with different large pins and needles mounted on it including several with large black glass heads and blue shafts.

Description:
This elaborate tri-fold card has printed on the front a colored drawing of an elderly woman sewing surrounded by designs. Fold one side open and there is a drawing of a girl in a fancy gown and bonnet on the right, and on the left is mounted a blue horseshoe of cloth with many different size needles mounted. Open the last fold and in the center is mounted 7 envelopes of different gauge needles marked "Dix and Rands/ High Grade/ Large Eyed/ Sharps". On the right is mounted another blue pad of cloth with different large pins mounted on it including several with large black glass heads and blue shafts. Finally, the very back has a color print of a cherub flying with a banner.
