Thomas Edmund Dewey (1902-1971) of Pawling, Dutchess County, N.Y.; Republican. U.S. District Attorney for the Southern District of New York, 1933; candidate for Republican nomination for President, 1940; Governor of New York, 1943-55; defeated, 1938; candidate for President of the United States, 1944, 1948. Earl Warren (1891-1974), member of Republican National Committee from California, 1936-38; California state attorney general, 1939-43; Governor of California, 1943-53; candidate for Vice President of the United States, 1948; and Chief Justice of U.S. Supreme Court, 1953-69.

Description:
A rectangular wood cigar box with paper seams printed on the lid in black "Your Choice For President", and on the side "Jumbos". A white paper label on the inside lid is printed with small black and white photolithographic portraits of Franklin Delano Roosevelt and Wendell Willkie flanking the words in red "Your Choice For President", and inside are two gigantic cigars with large bands each printed with a portrait of a different candidate, one for Willkie and one for Roosevelt. Willkie ran against, and lost to incumbent FDR in the 1940 election.

A rectangular wood cigar box covered in paper printed with elaborate floral borders, stylized trees, garlands and gold trim around central oval frames with color printed of men and women in eighteenth century dress on patios courting. Description:
A round wood cigar box with a hinged lid and a rectangular fitted compartment inside for displaying cigar. A paper label inside the lid shows a printed scene of men running along a cliffside path overlooking a river with a boat marked "Pinafore" sailing by while hot air balloons drop round boxes marked "Cheese It" to the people below. A little booth at the top of the cliff reads "Astley/ Bell/ Rowell/ Merritt/ Hart/ Ennis/ Weston". The cigar compartment is stamped in blue with the words "Yes I Know, That Is So,/ Officially Speaking: 'Cheese It!' is the Best Five Cent Cigar in Market".

A cream colored ceramic commemorative plate with a green glazed central image of a three masted square rigged sailing ship with the caption "Half-Moon/ 1609-1959/ Rockland County Anniversary Celebration/ 350th Hudson- Champlain Celebration". Encircling this image are a series of representations of historical sites in Rockland County New York, also in green, including "Stony Point Battlefield"; "The 76 House, Tappan"; Legendary Indian Site/ Spook Rock Ramapo"; "General Greene's Headquarters/ Palisades"; the site of Major Andre's and Benedict Arnold's first meeting; "The DeWindt Manor" one of Washington's headquarters; "Historic Ramapo Pass/ Near Suffern"; Site believed to be Major Andre's place of execution; "Historic Sneden's Landing/ Palisades"; "Site of the Original Dutch Reformed Church/ Founded 1694 Tappan". The reverse has a paragraph explaining Rockland County's historical importance, particularly during the American Revolution.
