Description: 
Gold and enamel badge of the Greek Order of the Redeemer with blue and white silk ribbon; crown from which hangs a white enamel cross encircled by a laurel wreath with a blue central medallion; obverse of badge contains an image of Christ on the central medallion holding up a raised finger, surrounded by a Greek inscription; reverse of badge bears a different Greek inscription. Eight-pointed cut steel breast star bears an image of Christ on the obverse.

He sought nomination as the Republican candidate for the 1940 presidential election but lost to Wendell Wilkie. This campaign button was likely produced for the 1940 election, but may date to senate campaigns as early as 1921.
