Collapsible brass coin scale in rectangular wooden case, with lid that folds over flat (creating a base for the scale) when latch on short end is released; scaffold-like scale is mounted on four legs, the front two of which swivel around the hinge joining the lid to the base of the box, and has a flat, trapezoidal pan suspended from one end of a horizontal bar with a sliding weight and stamped calibrations; strips of paper with printed instructions affixed to inside of case.
