Pipe bowl with circular flaring rim with impressed geometric pattern and saw-toothed edge around hole for tobacco and abstract flower with impressed decoration around hole for stem; tobacco and stem openings connected by L-shaped joint.

Wooden cigar box with hinged lid with bands of inlay and stamped inscription, "POR LARRAÑAGA"; edges of lid are serpentine and overhang box, which has a centered horizontal band of dark wood inlay and a keyhole in the front; edges of base are serpentine, matching shape of overhanging top; stamped inscription on bottom similar to inscription on top; raised on four bun feet; allegorical subject color-printed on white paper affixed to inside of lid.

Humidor made of soldered sheet lead with applied gems and cast lead decoration; oblong shape with champfered corners; domed lid with elephant handle and applied plant or animal figure cast in low relief on each of four sides; box with applied figure group (a genre scene with men smoking) on one long side, male profile bust cast in low relief and mounted gems on other long side, masks cast in high relief on each end, and cast grape leaves and mounted gems on chamfered corners; raised on four paw feet with brackets; tobacco press in the form of a rectangular sheet of lead with champfered corners, with a circular medallion with male profile bust in low relief applied at each end and elephant handle housed inside box.

The male bust on the side of the humidor box may represent Abraham Lincoln, and the bust on the medallions that adorn the tobacco press may be that of Ulysses S. Grant. In addition, the elephant figure used twice as a handle might be interpreted as a political symbol. Together, these elements appear to communicate a political campaign message.
