Cast metal souvenir wall hook in the form of a hatchet from the centennial of Washington's inauguration; hatchet with an image of George Washington on the blade in a scrolled border with a bunch of cherries below; the handle is textured to look like wood and is inscribed, "WASHINGTON INAUGURATED PRESIDENT OF THE U.S./ Apr. 30th 1789.;" metal hook soldered to handle below "PRESIDENT."
