Game consisting of chips made of mother-of-pearl in three different shapes: circular (20), short oval (14) and long oval (67), and six rectangular wooden trays covered in dark brown lacquer with playing card images (king of hearts, nine of diamonds, etc.) painted in gold, red, and green on inner surface; in lacquered wooden box with five smaller boxes nesting inside.

Totten McMaster, great-grandson of Captain Gilbert Totten of New Haven, CT, master of the merchant steamer "CONSTELLATION," who was given this game by Napoleon Bonaparte in 1804 as a token of appreciation for rescuing four French seamen in the English Channel who would otherwise have been taken prisoner by the English.

Cast iron mechanical bank in the form of jockey riding on mule, on textured base painted green with log painted brown and slot (for coins) at opposite end; Jockey represented as gross caricature of African-American, with large mouth forming slot for coin; additional cast details such as bridle and saddle on mule, and grain of wood; cast inscription along edge of base, which extends down, painted red, with section cut out; when lever on bottom is pressed, rider is thrown from mule to deposit coin in slot.

Cast iron mechanical bank in the form of a large eagle mounted on a pedestal with two eaglets mounted at edge of nest; eagle with glass eyes and jointed wings and body, base textured to represent natural environment, with nest; coin is placed in mouth of large eagle; when lever under tail is pressed, the large eagle leans forward and drops the coin into the nest, and the eaglets swallow the coin.
