This year over February School Vacation Week, we’re celebrating Black History Month! Stop by the Museum to check out our special exhibition Black Citizenship in the Age of Jim Crow and join us for a drop-in art activity that celebrates African American heroes.
Please note: This event is FREE with Museum Admission. We strongly encourage families to purchase Museum Admission tickets in advance as space is limited. Any remaining, day-of tickets will be issued to Museum visitors on a first come-first, served basis.
Attention magic lovers: Join us to celebrate Harry Potter: A History of Magic by creating a magical craft during School Vacation Week activity hours! Try your hand at wand making, potion brewing, deciphering ciphers, and more. Also, make your very own Hogwarts house badge! Activities rotate throughout the run of vacation week, so come back again and again.
In observance of Veterans Day on Monday, learn all about the World War II era. Stop by the Museum to experience immersive family activities exploring the daily lives of soldiers and food on the warfront and home front. All visitors enjoy a free, tasty treat invented for WWII soldiers—M&Ms!
