Where and how has magic manifested across Europe? From classical antiquity to early modern witch hunts, delve into the historical, cultural, and social contexts in which magic took shape and consider how magical traditions have emerged and endured.

During this course, participants will visit the exhibition Harry Potter: A History of Magic.

In this interactive workshop, learn the fundamentals of powerful storytelling, including crafting a narrative and public speaking tips to prepare you to compellingly share your personal narrative. Participants are welcome to create narratives about "Growing up with Harry Potter" for the open mic night on January 7 or on a topic of their choosing.

Their background, actions, and adventures help readers relate to and derive meaning from their narratives. In this two-day class, draw inspiration from the work of Harry Potter illustrators Jim Kay, Mary GrandPré, and Brian Selznick to create and illustrate your own fantasy-based hero.

This is a Six-Session Class.
