Every year, the U.S.–Mexico border plays host to Fandango Fronterizo Festival, a special music festival that celebrates family and culture and defies separation. The moving documentary Fandango at the Wall follows two groups of musicians—one, Mexican jarocheros from the countryside and the other, the Afro Latin Jazz Alliance orchestra from New York City—as they travel to the border to perform.
