EVENT DETAILS
Every year, the U.S.–Mexico border plays host to Fandango Fronterizo Festival, a special music festival that celebrates family and culture and defies separation. The moving documentary Fandango at the Wall follows two groups of musicians—one, Mexican jarocheros from the countryside and the other, the Afro Latin Jazz Alliance orchestra from New York City—as they travel to the border to perform. Register for this remote program now and get access to watch the documentary on HBO Max and HBO Latino from October 22–27. Then, join us for this free panel discussion about the film, the festival, and the complex issues both evoke about immigration, tradition, and border issues.
