Since the immediate aftermath of September 11, 2001, the conflict in Afghanistan has been a vital component in the ongoing Global War on Terrorism. How has Afghanistan changed in the past 13 years? General (Ret.) David H. Petraeus offers his unique perspective on what lies ahead for U.S., NATO, and Afghani forces to aid in the fragile region’s transition into a functioning democracy.
David H. Petraeus (General, U.S. Army, Retired) is Chairman of the KKR Global Institute and a former Director of the CIA. Max Boot (moderator) is Jeane J. Kirkpatrick Senior Fellow for National Security Studies at the Council on Foreign Relations and the author of Invisible Armies: An Epic History of Guerrilla Warfare from Ancient Times to the Present.

Advance purchase is required to guarantee seating. All sales are final and payments cannot be refunded. No exchanges are permitted. Programs and dates may be subject to change. Management reserves the right to refuse admission to latecomers.
SPECIAL NOTICE:
Due to an unforeseen circumstance, the public program “Afghanistan: The Road Ahead” was rescheduled from Tuesday, December 16.
If you had purchased a ticket to the December 16 program, we will honor your reservation for the rescheduled March 4 date, and no further action is required. We will honor refund requests for attendees who cannot attend on March 4.
