In honor of Black History Month, we're celebrating the legacy of African-American athletes and the Civil Rights Movement. Author Andrea Davis Pinkney—NAACP Image Award Nominee, Adam's Prize Winner, and Brooklyn Public Library Distinguished Honor Award Winner—will join us to discuss her book and pioneering boxer Joe Louis. Families will explore artifacts related to Louis and African Americans during the Great Depression in our Library collections.
