A century after “the war to end all wars,” Jeremy Black draws on his new book A Century of Conflict to distill the lessons of conflict around the globe—from WWI and WWII to the Cold War, the Global War on Terror, and the smaller wars in between. One of the world’s most renowned military historians, Black will also offer reflections on the value of military history and a glimpse into the future of war.

Jeremy Black is Professor of History at the University of Exeter and a Senior Fellow at the Foreign Policy Research Institute. He is the author of over 100 books, including, most recently, A Century of Conflict: War, 1914-2014.
