EVENT DETAILS
In collaboration with the New-York Historical Society and Oxford University Press, the Bryant Park Reading Room presents a series of free lectures to stimulate your mind on popular topics including politics, biography, Civil War history, and more.
In the midst of the Great Depression, President Franklin Delano Roosevelt and New York City Mayor Fiorello La Guardia forged a critical partnership to rescue a city—and a nation—from the depths of a national crisis. In his new book, City of Ambition, Mason B. Williams examines the relationship between these two political titans and offers a fresh vantage point on the New Deal and New York history.
