Using firsthand accounts, naval historian Ian W. Toll explores how the U.S. and Allied Forces rolled back the Japanese Pacific Empire island-by-island as they blazed their way towards Tokyo.
Ian W. Toll is the acclaimed author of The Conquering Tide: War in the Pacific Islands, 1942–1944, the second installment in his Pacific War Trilogy.
