Revisit the 2017 exhibition Tattooed New York and discuss the rich and vibrant history of modern tattooing in New York. Cristian Panaite, associate curator of exhibitions, hosts cultural anthropologist Mike McCabe and tattoo artists Michelle Myles, co-owner Daredevil Tattoo; and Mehai Bakaty, owner Fineline Tattoo, as they explore everything from the invention of the electric tattoo machine to the three-decade ban on ink in New York City.
