Character Creation
Saturday, October 24 at 3pm
Plan, design, and draw all aspects of your character in this two-hour class! Is it a superhero, a supervillain, or just an everyday hero? Students will learn about turnaround sheets, proportions, and why superheroes wear red and blue, while supervillains prefer purple and green.
Action!
Saturday, November 7 at 3pm
Make your characters jump, run, and interact in their worlds. In this two-hour class we’ll collaborate on “jam comics” and play games like “Character Combat” to get our characters moving!
Adventures in Emanata
Saturday, December 19 at 3pm
What do you think sounds, smells, and emotions look like? In this two-hour class, brainstorm and practice how to draw emanate, the visual cues indicating everything from feelings to senses without words. Add these into larger drawings to cap off your own superhero cartoon panel!
