Join us every Friday in person for story time and crafts! Each class includes a special Little New-Yorkers hello song, silly dances and games, a story book reading, and a craft to do after the story.

Welcome to January Jam! This month we will be reading books all about music! Music often makes us want to dance! This week, read Firebird, written by Misty Copeland and illustrated by Christopher Myers. In this story, Misty Copeland, a real life ballerina who was the first Black principal dancer for the American Ballet Theatre, helps an ordinary girl to dance the role of the Firebird in a ballet. After the story, make your own Firebird crown to dance in at home!

Please note that this is not a drop-off program—child participants must be accompanied by an adult. This program will take place in person. Capacity limits, vaccination proof plus matching ID (for those ages 12 and up), and mask requirements apply. Please find all our safety information here.
