This weekend, we’re celebrating Black History Month by welcoming living historians from the 6th Regiment of Infantry, United States Colored Troops to the Museum. As part of our Presidency Project, these historical reenactors of the American Civil War will be remembering President Abraham Lincoln's role in officially welcoming them to fight for the Union in his Emancipation Proclamation. Check out their army uniforms, investigate a soldier’s tools and equipment, and learn a military drill!
