Every weekend through January 8, meet fascinating living historians and reenactors who bring the American Revolution to life inside the Museum, presented in conjunction with our groundbreaking exhibition, The Battle of Brooklyn.

Join us on December 4 to meet the tailors of the Revolutionary War! The Ministers of Apollo will represent the 18th-century men and women who created and mended the uniforms of the Continental Army, as well as other garments. Learn to sew a stitch popular in the past, touch some of the special tools used by tailors to pattern and assemble clothing, and see for yourself how you would dress 240 years ago!

Once you’ve tried your hand at sewing in the Revolution, pick up our Battle of Brooklyn Family Activity Guide and explore the exhibition to see real military outfits from the conflict!
