Join us as we commemorate an often overlooked anniversary of the American Civil War’s end! Historical reenactors from the 14th New Jersey Volunteer Infantry will be dressed as Union Army soldiers and stationed at the New-York Historical Society all day to answer your questions about life on and off the battlefield. Take a close look at their uniforms and weapons, but don’t forget to help them celebrate the surrender of the Confederate States of America’s remaining armies and the capture of CSA President Jefferson Davis 151 years ago!
