Watch our special exhibition, First Folio! The Book that Gave Us Shakespeare, come to life! The Frog & Peach Theatre Company will be in the gallery all afternoon to demonstrate the performance of a scene from the First Folio and answer your questions about continuing the 400-year-old tradition of acting out Shakespeare. Hear the meaning of some of Shakespeare’s original text translated into everyday words, see swords and other timeless props up close, and learn how actors perform stage combat without laying a finger on each other!
Want to see a real 16th century folio like Shakespeare's up close, not under glass? From 1-2 pm, come turn a page and explore a Ben Johnson first folio! An educator will be on hand near the Frog & Peach performers to explain how folios were made using this unique, 400 year old artifact.
