In honor of our exhibition American Visionary: John F. Kennedy’s Life and Times we’re bringing early presidential history to life all weekend!
On Saturday, come ready with your questions for Abe Lincoln, who won the campaign to become commander-in-chief in 1860—exactly 100 years before JFK did! Portrayed by Living Historian Howard Wright, Mr. Lincoln might surprise you with some of the ways he was similar to our leader in the Oval Office in 1960.
Listen to stories about Lincoln’s daily life in the White House with his family, discover how JFK’s inaugural address echoed Lincoln’s ideas, and don’t miss your chance to look inside Honest Abe’s top hat or try to tell time on his special pocket watch!
Looking for more presidential Living History? Join us on Sunday to meet George Washington!
