As part of School Vacation Week, spend the weekend immersed in the activist causes of Harriet Tubman! Meet Living Historians portraying Tubman and other self-liberated people of African descent who strongly defied racial oppression in the 19th century.

Learn more about Tubman’s accomplishments before, during, and after the American Civil War and Reconstruction, ask questions about how she and her associates used the Underground Railroad to free themselves, and discover the tales, tools, and techniques of how Tubman and many emancipated people evaded capture and found their way north.
