Scavenger Hunt: Celebrate Women’s History!

Do you know who Nelly Bly is? How about Theodosia Burr? Search through the whole museum for clues to these and other women’s lives, discovering their role in American history as you go. Pick up your hunt in DiMenna Children’s History Museum; prizes for completion, and children’s museum hunts for younger hunters!
Family Sketching in Audubon’s Aviary

Meet artist, explorer, and naturalist John James Audubon through the amazing exhibition Audubon’s Aviary! Join these educator-led sketching family tours to learn, sketch, and talk about Audubon’s beautiful bird watercolors.
Plane-Spotting Family Bingo
March 23, 24, 26 – 31, 2 pm
Ages 6 and up
Identify WWII aircrafts while playing this interactive bingo game. Each family member gets a bingo card and then starts to cross off the planes as these Axis and Allied pictures and information are called out. Prizes for participation and winning!
It’s a Bird! It’s a Plane! It’s Both!
Paper-Plane Birds
March 23, 24, 26 – 31, 11 am – 4 pm
All ages
Fold your own paper bird-plane and fly it at our target-wall of clouds. Which bird-plane will you choose: a sparrow, cardinal or parrot? Believe it or not, these birds can be spotted locally! This program is inspired by Audubon’s Aviary.
