The Qingming Celebration (清明節), also known as Ancestor’s Day, is a traditional Chinese celebration when families gather together to remember loved ones and celebrate the arrival of spring. In honor of the exhibition Chinese American: Exclusion/Inclusion, the New-York Historical Society invites families to create and decorate their very own Qingming Celebration kite and hear the story of a master kite maker in Chinatown.
