Description:
This black tin sign has a color diagram of the connections between a coal stove, a water boiler marked Brown & Bro's Seamless Copper Boiler", and a hot water receptacle marked "Vulcan". The front reads in red "Vulcan/ Gas Water Heater/ Hot Water Almost Instantly." The reverse has a paper label that reads "W.M. Crane Co./ Gas Appliance Manufacturers/ 1131-1133 Broadway, New York".

This dark blue rectangular box is printed on the lid and sides in gold and white "Avonite/ Color Reference". The lid opens on a hinge and inside the lid is a list of colors with number codes. The box is full of faux marble samples in a variety of solid and speckled colors including green, red with gray veins and gray with white speckles.
