Description: 
This miniature egg crate was a salesman's sample. The carton is printed in black and red with a diagram of a crate and the words "Miniature Pocket Sample/ Star Egg Carrier and Tray/ Furnished Free To Jobber's/ Salesmen Upon Request". The side is stamped "Star Egg Carriers/ And Trays/ Rochester, N.Y.", and lists patent dates from 1903-1908. Inside are a dozen little wooden balls for eggs.
