Man's vest with white silk front panels; natural linen back panel and interior lining; straight rectangular pockets; band collar; embroidered floral decoration on pockets, collar, interior lapels, along each side of the button-front opening and a wide band across the base of the garment in pink, blue, green, yellow and red thread; embroidered leaf pattern all over the front panels and on the eleven silk cover buttons; collar, vest opening, button holes, pockets and bottom of garment outlined with black embroidery.

Cambric bertha collar with handmade whitework and bobbin lace; near the outside edge is a floral garland embroidered with drawnwork at the center of some of the flowers, the collar ends and the outside edge are trimmed with cutwork plied with bobbin tulle stitch to resemble tulle embroidered with a row of daisies, then a row of embroidered boteh, finished with studded bobbin tulle with scalloped beaded edge.

Cambric whitework lace collared scarf (fichu), the scarf is U-shaped when lying flat with the sides curving at the shoulders and taping down to a point at the bottom; the overall design is a floral motif over a swagging garland, the bottom area is studded with leaves, the outer edge is worked in a floral garland and is finished with buttonhole stitch; the collar is worked on the outside edge in the same floral garland as the fichu.

Cambric scarf (fichu) with handmade bobbin lace inset and trim, the inset at the point at the bottom is tulle with a meandering pattern and is two opposing chevrons which resemble the Masonic compass and square, scalloped bobbin tulle trims the upper edge, the two side edges are trimmed with the same lace as the inset, with bobbin tulle worked with a floral motif applied, all the lace pieces have beaded edges.

Whitework embroidered cambric lace collar, the whitework is on the outside half of the collar and is a floral and leaf design, some of the flowers have openwork centers, the outer edge is a rose garland creating a scalloped edge, all flowers without openwork have drawnwork centers, the edge is finished with buttonhole stitch, the neck edge is finished with cambric fabric tape.

Description: 
Linen cambric sleeve fragment with whitework cotton embroidery at the hems of double-ruffle cuff, the shape is only slightly full and is gathered on to the cuff, the top of the cuff is several rows of drawnwork giving a shirred appearance, the ruffles have the same pattern, with embroidered vertical leaves all around and scalloped edges finished with buttonhole stitch.
