Silver coin purse; rectangular body with chamfered corners, concave sides and raised, flat centers; all over engraving on the raised centers, geometric decoration around a rectangular reserve on the front and a floral cartouche on the reverse with geometric designs and foliate scrolls around the edges; "Janette Pirsson/ 1854" engraved in script in the reserve; wheel turned waves on the raised edge; cylindrical hinge along one side with a spring loaded clasp on the opposite side; one scalloped pocket in the center; lined with peach colored silk moiré; no maker's marks.
