The Meriden Britannia Co. was established in 1879 for the production of 1847 Rogers Bros. silverplate, sterling silver flatware, silver-plated nickel silver and white metal holloware. The company merged with International Silver Co. of Canada, Ltd. around 1912. According to the accession records, the pattern of these knives is "Old Colony."
