Description:
An aluminum sewing thimble with a rolled edge that advertises a political campaign. Embossed "Coolidge and Dawes" with a star on a blue painted background, a reference to the presidential campaign of 1924 won by Calvin Coolidge and Charles Dawes. A tiny paper envelope marked " 'For the Wives, Sweethearts, and Daughters of the Smokers.' ", containing a cross-stitch kit including cards of gray and purple thread, two mesh canvas cards printed with sewing guide colors and two pattern cards with directions for making and finishing the tiny cross-stitch samplers. The pattern cards read on the reverse "Cross-Stitch/ 'The Latest Craze'.../ Egyptienne Straight Cigarettes", with directions for sewing and ironing.

A brass name and address plate for a mail box, probably from a city apartment building. A paper card slips into the holder which has three slots for viewing the handwritten name, street and city. It reads "E.B. Child/ 601 E. 109/ New York". The plate has a slot at the top for attaching it to the wall or mail box.
