This tiny white box is shaped and opens like a book. The front cover is brown and the sides finely striped to represent pages. The cover reads "American Edition/ Jackson/ Life Sketches/ Andrew J. Hope/ New York/ 1896". Inside once held a tablet of chocolate and still holds a folded paper insert, attached to the side, that has a brief biography and anecdotes about the famous American on the cover. The reverse reads "Hope Fine Chocolates/ Fifty Cents a Pound/ delivered free in U.S./ only store/ 41 Nassau St./ New York City". One of a set of six- 2002.1.2409 through 2002.1.2414
