Leather, brass, and iron cartridge box; rectangular black leather box with horizontal loop for shoulder belt sewn to rear, implement pocket on front, iron buckle at bottom, and double flaps with stamped oval plate on front and strap on outer flap that fastens to brass stud at bottom of box; box contains tin insert with two compartments at top and one at bottom; stenciled number on inside box flap; black leather waist belt with curved rectangular brass plate at right end that fastens to hook on left; plate has beaded background with applied silver foliate lettering in center flanked by silver wreaths; engraved mark on back of plate.
