Description: 
Brown leather wallet with a flap across the top, when opened, the top has a fold-out flap compartment, the bottom has two compartments, the front one closes with a flap at the top; all sides inside and out are tooled with the same design of hunting dogs and hunters set in medallions.

Clarkson Crolius (1773-1843) was a stoneware potter in New York. William F. Crolius (1808-1834), also a stoneware potter, was the younger brother of Clarkson Crolius, Jr. He gave this wallet to Clarkson when he was 26 years old, the same year that William died.
