Collection of various wooden tools used for netting work, including (a-c, l) four netting shuttles; (d) mesh stick/gauge with long, straight sides and rounded ends; (j, n, g, f, k, m) six cylindrical gauges of wood with flat ends and of various lengths and diameters; and (e, h, i) three unsharpened pencils (both ends flat), of various lengths and diameters, perhaps used for the same purpose as the wooden implements they resemble.

Description:
Cylindrical needle case of rolled sheet metal. The flat ends are capped with brass.
Patented to a manufacturer of metal boxes, Ernest Jahncke, of Canonbury Works, London. Originally contained 100 needles in five sizes. Jahncke made numerous small metal boxes for various purposes, including a number of other needle working tools. "Mitrailleuse" refers to the resemblance between the packed needle case and contemporary long barreled military volley guns.

Description:
Brown silk sewing book in the shape of a bellows, floral beadwork design on one side, the inside is lined with green silk and holds one wool felt leaf, the book closes with a green silk ribbon loops attatch near the handles of the bellows which loops around both handles, the other end holds a needle threader commemorating the crowning of Queen Victoria.
