Description:
Rectangular, yarn sewn woolen hooked rug with cut pile and linen foundation; stylized floral motif with cruciform arrangement of "flowers" in pink and shades of brown at center of beige ground, with a floral spray in each corner and a blue meandering vine above and below; natural homespun linen backing and narrow, pleated light brown woolen ruffle on all sides.

Blue silk flag of the New York Court of Assistants; white silk medallion in the center trimmed with red silk embroidering, center is a blue shield with a gold painted cannon, inscribed above, "NATIONAL SOCIETY/ WOMEN DECENDENTS/ OF THE/ ANCIENT & HONORABLE/ ARTILLERY COMPANY," inscribed above shield, "NEW YORK COURT OF ASSISTANTS;" inscribed in the border, "1637-1774/ GOD OF OUR FATHERS;" gold silk fringe on the three sides of the fly; wooden flagstaff in three sections, divided by threaded metal cuffs, base has ovoid metal tip; spear-head on a ball metal finial; gold silk flag tassels, twisted cord droped into two drapery tassels with twisted fringe.
