Description: 
Salt-glazed stoneware jar with shallow handles at the shoulder and a metallic red-brown glazed interior. The front is decorated with a stylized floral cobalt blue slip design below words "2/ F. Laufersweiler/ Empire City Pottery/ 517 & 519 w. 27 St. NY", impressed into the stoneware and highlighted with cobalt blue. The top narrows at the neck and has a lip that may have supported a domed lid.

A large dark green store display tin shaped like a book with a red binding and a stylized oyster shell pattern around the edges. The front reads in beige with red borders "The Herold/ By/ H. Valvatne", and on the binding in gold "The Herold By Valvatne/ Published At Sunde Norway/ B.M. Shipman/ New York/ Sole Agent". The lid of the tin opens on a hinge to expose a light green store display sign with a lithograph of an open sardine tin surrounded by the words, in red and gold, "The Herold Smoked Sardines/ Highest Quality/ Olive Oil/ Packed By / H. Valvatne/ Sunde Norway."

Description: 
Yellow and green lidded pitcher molded and shaped to resemble an ear of corn. The pitcher has green leaves partially covering the yellow raised corn kernel pattern and a green stalk-like handle. Diamond shaped plaques on both sides are embossed "Everard's/ Canada Malt/ Cream Ale". The lid rests on the top and completes the ear of corn appearance. Everard's is an English beer brewery founded in 1849 in Leicestershire, also known for as Tiger Brewery since 1898.

A cast metal advertising stand with a mechanical lever actuated cigar cutter and a wind-up clock. The clock face is mounted in a bezel that is embossed in a circle "Not Left 5c Cigar 5c", with beige painted lettering on a red background. An inner circle is embossed "G. W. Van Slyke & Horton/ Albany, New York". A protruding lever on the fornt has a small hole in it in which a very narrow cigar is inserted and the whole arm pressed downward to nip the tip off the cigar.

Description: 
A molded figurine on a pedestal of a mustachioed man in black knickers standing next to a silvery gold pillar marked "T. Stevens", on a gray pedestal engraved with a bicycle in an oval frame embossed "Columbia/ Pope MFG. Co., Boston", highlighted in black. Pope introduced one of the first mass produced bicycles, the Pope Ordinary, which weighed seventy pounds and cost a huge 313 dollars in 1880, attracting few but the wealthy. Thomas Stevens rode an Ordinary from Oakland, California to Boston in 1884. In the 104 days it took him, he had to navigate unmappped territory, negotiate unimproved ninteenth century roads, and brave the attitudes of incredulous people he met on the way. The back in engraved "J. Schwartz & Co./ 171 1 Ave.
