Model of a hand-drawn, hand-powered fire engine used by the New York Volunteer Fire Department; green and red painted metal wheels and frame support tin body painted red and black with gold trim; oval brass plate with "E PLURIBUS UNUM" in relief above eagle with spread wings mounted on front, brass lion mask mounted on back, and "5" painted in gold on either side of pump chamber; cord wound on two horizontal spools in front and threaded through loops in T-shaped metal handle at end of tongue.
