Description: 
Black Navel officer's 4-pocket dress waistcoat; front is made of wool with lapels that are rounded at the bottom; 4 buttons at the stomach cast with eagle clutching an anchor in its talons, encircled by stars; reverse of waistcoat is made of black satin with 2 straps near the waistline which buckle at the center to buckle with double-tongue chape; lined withwhite silk.

Description: 
Dark blue or black wool Naval officer's tailcoat, with double collar and lapels, lapels have 4 buttonholes down the front, all blind but the upper left; 3 buttons on each side at the stomach; closed cuff sleeves have a band of gilt lace around the wrists with a metal 5-pointed star above; 4 panels at the back of the bodice with 2 buttons near the center at the waistline, a button at the bottom of each tail; all buttons cast with spread eagle clutching an anchor in its talons encircled with stars; lined with black silk, horizontal slit pocket at the left breast, sleeves lined with white silk.

Flat-folding black beaver chapeau bras with black ostrich feathers lining crest; bands of black ribbon extend diagonally from base on either side, framing on front a diagonally placed, capsule-shaped cockade with a gilded metal shield-breasted eagle and button with same on gold ground at center; gold bullion fringe at each corner; black patent leather sweatband and brown silk lining; shaped cardboard box (in three pieces).

Flat-folding black beaver (textile) chapeau bras with crest lined with black ostrich feathers; bands of ribbon extend diagonally from base on either side, framing on front a cockade consisting of a vertical, capsule-shaped "loop" with gilded metal shield-breasted eagle centered above a button with inscription, "ORDNANCE CORPS," in relief on circular belt superimposed on crossed cannon; gold bullion fringe at each corner; brown leather sweatband and rose silk lining; in shaped brown leather case lined with beige and brown printed textile.

Black wool dress trousers with 2 black silk stripes (1" wide) down the side of each leg; 6 belt loops around the waistband, 6 button fly has a tab off to the left at the top which fastens to an interior button, vertical slit pockets behind the rear stripe at the hip; 2 horizontal slit pockets at the rear on each hip; waistband lined with white silk, with 6 horn buttons around the inside of the waistband, pockets lined with twill-weave cotton.

"Chasseur pattern" gray wool felt forage cap; black patent leather visor which is flat and somewhat rectangular; soft crown with circular, countersunk top with black braid applied around outer edge; vertical strips of braid applied center front, center back, and on either side of crown; black felt band around base of cap with braid on upper edge and metal numeral "7" attached to center front; chin strap buttons embossed with initials "N.G." between branches of oak and laurel (chin strap missing); black leather sweatband and black silk lining.

Dark blue wool felt officer's dress trousers with white stripe down the side of each leg; 4 button fly has a tab to the left at the top which fastens to a wooden button on the inside at the waistband, bottom 3 fly buttons are wooden, top button made of horn; 6 horn and wooden buttons around the waistband; 2 straps at the back beneath the waistband which buckle at the center with a rectangular buckle with double-tongue chape; waistband and pockets lined with silk, bottoms of the legs lined with white linen at the hem.
