Did you know that Harriet Tubman relied on a station on the Underground Railroad that was located right here in New York City? On May 12 and 13, 1856, ‘Captain’ Tubman (as she was known by some abolitionists) travelled to the city with four fugitive, enslaved people whom she had rescued.
